Oz heading back to the KHL in exchange for the rights to former nhler Jiri Sekac. I guess having depth in AHL isn't such a bad thing.

This is a KHL trade, not NHL. It has nothing to do with the Leafs, other than changes the team Ozhiganov goes to back in Russia.

He wasn't terrible as a #6 guy, but really never hit a stride or showed flashes that he might be anything more. No big loss here for the leafs, good luck to Ozhiganov in the KHL.

He is brutal anyway good for the leafs, for sure they have better players in the system coming up already.

he didnt get a fair shake ...he was good in his own end, never got caught pinching, and handled the puck well.
he was WAY softer than advertised though, which was a shame.
if he was cheap enough, i'd love him back on the 3rd pair.

He was a decent skater and had some strength but was completely afraid to use his size and had no physical edge over his opponents although he was a big body.

Did not come as advertised at all...

Not that it matters, especially with Ozhiganov specifically...but it seems there are set to be a lot of bodies moving out of that Leafs blueline corps.
