who the hell sits when the big boys come back?

my picks based on play, is GOAT and Brown out.

Brown won't be out, he should but he won't. He plays like he knows he is the pride and joy of Babcock, almost as though he doesn't even really have to give it his all.

Auston/Willy in the lineup, we'd of killed these sad sacks. Leafs are a more advanced team than the Bruins.

You can call him uncreative, and a black hole offensively... but you cannot say he does not work hard. The guy might be the hardest worker on the team. He's a smarter, less strong Hyman. Sure doesn't sound sexy, doesn't play sexy... but without these guys, our goals against would likely be much worse.

Leafs 17-8, Marner 33 points in 25 games, Tavares 28 points. Feels good.

Will feel better when Matthews and Nylander return and we have 2 first lines.
And some of us here thought the Leafs will be a playoff bubble team when Matthews got injured.

Yeah it's not even close. He is still getting stronger, the guys going to rival Matthews on this team at this rate. You can't compare the 50% shooting avg of Matthews to start the season, it's not sustainable. Playmaking like Marner on the other hand.. I don't know.
play making doesn't go into slumps

Strongly disagree. Hyman works his tail off and generally comes out with the puck or gets the puck into areas where we control it. It's how they score on that line. Brown doesn't. He is a lazy player in the O-zone that doesn't hold on to the puck or make any plays. He works hard defensively and it ends there but he is no Hyman. It's not close.
