Must win game!
The Montreal Canadiens are only 8 points behind us and we only have 2 games in hand.
Freddy, you're up. Please don't let us down.
We have to win against bottom 10 teams.
Freddy has to silence the naysayers.
It's weird to mention Montreal instead of Buffalo. They're more of a threat and who the Leafs are facing.
Kind of an odd comment given we are in a legit race with Florida ?
I think there was some sarcasm involved...
The only way into the post-season is 3rd in the Atlantic. The Leafs need a stranglehold on that position.
Go Leafs Go!
Just win and you're in.
Montreal is done.
Think Florida 4 pts behind us still have 2 games against them coming up.
I predict Andy has a great game tonight, he’s a competitor and sees the success Campbell has had. I think he’s going to prove that he is No. 1 and not relinquish it that easily.
They're only 1 pt back of the Flyers and the Jackets.
Yeah I know, I am being sarcastic. When the Habs beat us last week, the media couldn't stop talking about how they were right on our toes and could overtake us lol.
Buffalo and Montreal are done. We're only in a race with Florida now and if we can get a streak going for the next ~10 games or so (6-3-1 or better), they will also be done.
We need this win though...Florida has an easy Cali trip coming. SJ,LA and Anaheim are all bad teams. They can still pull off wins but it's not likely to count on any to win games.
Are we allowed to have any excuses in this game?
The Leafs are 1 point back of both wildcards...
Freddy starting.... Urghhh
So what was the excuse for his play against Dallas?
Nope it's Buffalo, they are better than Buffalo, beat Buffalo
Hope you're right. He's struck me more as a guy who crumbles with pressure
I always find it weird why people think leafs can’t get in through the wildcard. I get they have a tough schedule coming up but a 3 or 4 game win streak in they’re in the wildcard race as well.
At least there you COULD say he's coming off injury, hadn't played in a week and was a little rusty.
That goes away tonight
Wonder if both Gauthier and Timashov are out again tonight
Playing back 2 back home games... last night in Ottawa and tonight in Buffalo, is big.
I believe Marchment and Korshkov both played Friday/Saturday for the Marlies.
I'd love to see them get in over Gauthier but I doubt it happens tonight.
Will be a tough game with our backup in net
An awful turnover that allowed uncontested Star to have a clean attempt
Another pinching defenseman getting caught resulting in a breakaway
A wide open Tyler Seguin on a PP cashing in a rebound
At least that's what I saw.
