If he's not happy with his minutes in Columbus why would he be happy here?

    Thanks, HW.

A Leivo upgrade isn't saying much. Sell while he has a goal streak!

No worries my dude. Depends on the price, hes leivo but better except for shooting, hes bigger faster, stronger and can do more. but yeah not worth selling a bunch of assets for, all depends on that price.

I would absolutely love Josh Anderson on the leafs. He brings a different element to the leafs top 9 forward group that we sorely lack. Tom Wilson Comparable.

    What would the Jackets want?

He would bring some jam that our forward corps severely lacks.

Leafs lowest need is a RW. He'd get 8 minutes a night.

Leafs do need Rasmus Andersson though.

If the Jackets want a RW back for Josh Anderson, I would offer Connor Brown. Idk if the jackets would have interest in him

No. Only way we trade Anderson is in a package for Nylander. Rather keep him.

He's playing on your 4th line and apparently contemplating a trade request. How come your team isnt treating him with the same value as you say?

First, re-read, I said nothing about his value. Second, bottom 6 sucks we need him to carry a line.

MTL could definitely find room for him if the price was right, but the last thing we need is more wingers and CBJ won't sell him cheap, so I don't see a fit here

He got demoted to the fourth line for this game, but otherwise he's getting 14-16 minutes a game. I'm not buying this "his minutes are bad" nonsense. No particular need to trade him, and the only thing the Jackets need is top line guys and/or for Jones to get healthy and Bob to wake up.

EDIT: Oh, ****, this was Kypreos? Shut it down. He has no clue what he's talking about.

One game is not a career trend. Or is Mitch Marner still a fourth liner we can trade for?

The dude politely asking why someone getting demoted to the fourth line has value that can entice a GM to consider trading nylander in a package deal is nothing to get worked up about.

It's not like Anderson is even a blue chip like marner to easily scoff aside as growing pains. General public will want more information why he should be considered in package for nylander . It's common sense actually

Anderson's a key goal scorer on this team. He's not Mitch Marner, but it's not easy to be Mitch Marner because Mitch Marner is a badass. But I digress. The point is that he started one game on the fourth line and Kypreos took that as license to play the Suspiciously Specific Denial game with the words "trade request" and suddenly folks are drooling like Pavlov's dog. I mentioned Mitch because there were idiots back in the day who tried to come up with stupid trades for Marner when he was having some early growing pains, and so I figured that part, at least, was a fair comparison.

I dont get the comparison. The guy I quoted said Nylander or Bust. Which is an insane price in itself. You would think Josh Anderson is a sure top 6 forward with elite offensive skills.

I have no doubts Josh Anderson is a valuable player and should be treated as such. He's a versatile player who can play in your top 9 at best (I dont think he's a 4th line player either). But clearly, the fact that he was addressed in the HNIC panel, seems to indicate that clearly he's currently not happy about something.

If he does end up requesting a trade, would you still say Nylander or bust?

Glad someone gets it. I asked the same question on the Blue Jackets board politely, and someone replied back with "Nylander". I didn't know of the guy had truly meant it or if he was trolling cuz I was a leafs fan.

But obviously, if the price is truly Nylander for Josh Anderson, then yeah I guess both teams can move on.

That last sentence is self-contradictory. If one has elite offensive skills, "sure top 6 forward" is seriously understating things.

I'm quibbling at that because Anderson scores goals at a top-6 rate, but he's not elite.

I imagine anyone who finds themselves on the fourth line for a game would be unhappy. He played one game there. And played the most minutes of any of our "fourth liners" in that game by a large margin - he had nearly 12 minutes, while Sedlak and Milano were both around 8.

    Sometimes coaches coach, y'know.

Quite possibly. But that's less a function of Anderson's value and more a function of "everything else is covered already".

What are Columbus’s D pairs? Would they be interested in someone like Braun? I know they have Jones and Savard on the right but isn’t Jones hurt right now? If their 3RD isn’t good (I have no idea who it is off the top of my head) maybe something around Braun and Anderson? My thinking is CLB solidifies their D while only giving away someone who obviously already has a replacement.
