Pretty much what I expect. Probably someone else in 4C instead of Moore though

Same as mine, though I'd like to waive Marincin and keep Borgman up.

Clear top 9.

What I want in the 4th line+ spares is
Kapanen Aaltonen Brown
+Martin (when needed) + Leivo

But what we will probably see is
Martin Moore Brown
+Leivo + Fehr

Clear top 4.
Rosen and Carrick
+Borgmann

After 10-20 games of rosen + borgmann evaluation we may see Dermott. See how she goes.

I think they waive Marincin--he doesnt deserve to eat the popcorn at the ACC at this point. He cost us game 6 last year, and beside that, numbers aside he didnt look good in any preseason game. I keep both Borg and Rosen up and use 7D the first several games, see what happens against real teams, when points are on the line (and hey if they both are good leave it that way). The only issue with 7D and 2 rookies is playing time. If management feels keep one, if they are "wrong," about the guy they chose they can always change their mind. For example; Rosen stays, doesnt do what they expected, he goes down Borgman comes up, if that doesnt work Dermott--but I really think Borgman is the guy we need to stay. He is a beast, he hits, he has a shot and confidence. That last preseason tilt they played in, Rosen was ok--but looked shy, or nervous at first, while Borgman was steady AND Rosen had 0 shots in 19minutes plus PP time Borgman had maybe 45secs of PP time and 18.5 min 3 shots. Go by the numbers, and confidence, I pick Borgman

Based on Babs post game comments, it seems they are releasing Polak from his PTO.

We have to remember that the team is able to keep 23 guys for the roster, assuming they don't want to stall Kapanen's or Grundy's development by having them play limited minutes as an extra forward, they can carry 8 defensemen, 13 forwards and 2 goalies. Just because I expect Marincin to be on the roster doesn't mean he'll get playing time. He could get the Corrado treatment.

I would like to see Marincin do what Marchenko did, just agree to terminate the contract to go back to Europe and play rather then riding the pine. Would be nice to get a late pick for him but dont see it happening.

Hyman - Matthews - Nylander
Van Riemsdyk - Bozak - Marner
Marleau - Kadri - Komarov
Martin - Moore - Brown
Leivo

•Fehr and Rychel notably waived - Fehr gets claimed after an impressive audition

Gardiner - Zaitsev
Rielly - Hainsey
Rosen - Carrick
Marincin, Borgman

Andersen
McElhinney

Prediction: Leafs deal Soshnikov for a mid-round pick. He is currently the 15th or 16th forward and has the likes of Rychel, Johnsson, Grundstrom coming. I personally don't want him taking a spot on the Marlies from a 1st year pro.

I think your proposal would look more credible if you could spell Kapanen.

Otherwise, it looks fine,

You're very far off.

The line combos are not under consideration, and neither is Polak. Good soldier, but his time is up with the Leafs.

I have done this on purpose. I know these aren't going to be the lines but IMHO they offer the best all around punch. Hyman locked to Matthews is a stumbling block and hinderence for other players more worthy. In this case, Marleau.

I'd like to see JVR moved sooner rather than later in order to get Leivo a regular spot in this line-up. I believe this will happen.

Waive Marincin. Keep Aaltonen in the NHL to keep in him in NA.

Hyman - Matthews - Nylander
JVR - Bozak - Marner
Marleau - Kadri - Komarov
Martin - Moore - Brown
Leivo, Aaltonen

Gardiner - Zaitsev
Reilly - Hainsey
Borgman - Rosen
Carrick

Anderson
McElhinny

Moore might prove to be too slow to keep his job for the entire season. I remember when he was the Leafs' most energetic player but now he's one of the least energetic players. In the meantime he'll win faceoffs at a ~54% rate. The backup option for 4th line should be Komarov. Play Borgman and Rosen until they show they can't do it.

I think Marincin passes through waivers no problem, particularly this time of year when some other okay D will be on the wire as well. Judging by how the preseason has played out, it's obvious the team doesn't think too highly of him. Plus, he really is awful.

Moore was trash, he is slow and we have better. Why waste our time on this terrible relic?

I would say that's the line-up with one change on D - I don't think both the Borg and Rosen make it
