Born October 20, 2000. Daniil Misyul is a 6'3 offensive-minded D that plays for Loko Yaroslavl (MHL) and played for the Russian NT at last year's u18 WC and u19 WJAC. He seems reasonably solid defensively for his age, although he is frequently paired with the stablizing play of Anton Malyshev for both Loko and the Russian NT.

Based on the early games, it looks like he's gotten more leeway to jump into the rush this year and has had a solid start in the MHL with 6 points in 12 games. I think he's a potential 3rd/4th rounder for 2019.

Here's his MHL goal earlier this season vs Dynamo St. Petersburg (#93 in white):

And his PPG from the u18 WCs vs. Slovakia (#75 in red):

After spending the majority of the season in the MHL, he's been playing regular minutes in the KHL playoffs. His team is playing in the QFs vs. SKA now.

He's worth a bump.

What's the feel on where he's going to be drafted?

He's a big, strong guy who managed to play significant minutes in the KHL playoffs and look good doing it.

He has all the tools, skating, shot, hands, passing and he defends well. He's quick to transition the puck and he's shown many high IQ plays.

Seems strange there's not much talk of him.

Showing next to no offensive upside at any level you play doesn't get you to the first round. He went exactly where he should have.
You mean tools that made him play on 3 on 5 situations during the KHL playoffs at 18 years old. Misyul offensive upside is definitely higher than his stats indicates, even in junior levels he was pushed towards a defensive role over an offensive one, this has more to do with how well he excels defensively than the other way around. The russian factor probably has a lot to do with where he got drafted. With his mix of speed, size and physicality, he could be a gem.

Well that's the point, people who have upside but no stats to show for it are called projects and get drafted in the 3rd round. Russian factor played as big of a role as it always does but it's unlikely someone drafts the guy in the 1st round based on raw potential even though he couldn't score even at U17. He could be a gem that's why he went early in the 3rd.

I agree that third round is ok for player like him. He has a talent, but he needs to work a lot. I remember how he played at U18 and he looked liked he is slow and not smart player, but with big body and strong hands. He became better player, but nobody saw him playing like a first rounder. He never had impressive international performance against players of the same age with him and played too little amount of solid games in KHL to become a first rounder.

But I believe that he can be a good player that and after couple of good seasons in Yaroslavl he will go overseas and play in NHL.
