For once I have no real complaints. Still would prefer dropping Å mits and Nazarovs for kids who played locally and not those iffy leagues, but haven't seen them on ice so who knows, maybe they earned their spots.

Good roster.

Although,i`m bit suprised Abols not getting into the team.is he not good enough? I mean regularly plays with men in Latvian league (which is not that weak as some of us might think)

Most of these guys play in the same league and, well, the coach it seems wanted to make a solid 1995 team, only 2 forwards from 1996 and the backup (third?) goalie. I'd like to see Ābols there (and he scored a goal vs them in that last game playing for HK Rīga) but that was the coach's choice

Yeah well i guess, sometimes you have have to go with what coach is doing, for example, how many would have put Indrasis in lasts years WC first line? i`m guessing none.

Latvia U18 - Switzerland U18 0:3 (0:1, 0:2, 0:0)
Goals: 2 Hogger, 1 Hugli

Didn't see the game so hard to say anything about that. Swiss though seems like a good team from their past preparation game performance. Hope that coaches will make necessary adjustments to the game and will see the team in the WC.
