I'm a jabroni so i posted this in the wrong thread.

So this is your top 62? Interesting list. You REALLY like Alexeyev. You have him 10th.

Hayton at 35. Jenkins 40. Rasmus Sandin at 41.

Those are the 3 that really stand out in these ratings. Jenkins is ranked late 2nd to mid-third, largely based on his skating, which needs work.

Hayton, I think, is more top 6 low, like Lundestrom. May be a second-third line tweener though.

Sandin has top 4 upside, imo.

Jenkins has skills all over the board, his offense is super diverse, love him.

Sandins offensive upside is a huge question for me,i dont know what hell produce.

I like Jenkins too & suggested in another thread that Montreal take him with Washington's 2nd round pick, 62 OA.

Others thought that was too high, but I think he might not make it to Montreal's 3rd round pick. The size & skills are enticing, goes hard to the net, but he needs a lot of work on his skating.

His upside is second line power forward type, but he could wind up as an AHLer if he doesn't fix his skating.

If he skated like Foudy kid would be a 1st rder.

Sandin for me is top 4. I like his overall IQ, both defensively and offensively. He's just a really smart player. He's a Spacek/Markov type for me. Like them, he knows how to be an efficient skater & isn't afraid to make aggressive offensive plays.

And like them, his NHL future is to be severely under-rated throughout his career.

It's a solid list though. Good work.

Confusion for those who don't follow the draft and think that Rasmus Dahlin fell down to their team at pick #25.

There's 3 potential 1st round Rasmus' in this draft: Dahlin, Kupari & Sandin.

I guess it's a popular Swedish name for male hockey players right now.

We should ask @Per Sjoblom about it.

True, name fashions come and go. When I was born double first names with a hyphen were popular (Jan-Erik, Per-Olf), later it seems like late 19th century names have become popular like; Oscar, Rasmus, Emil, Victor etc and Finn's often use Swedish first names there days. Jarmo, Esko, Marti, Jari, Timo etc are true Finnish names as an example, Rasmus is not a typical Finnish name.

I wouldve guessed those were typical finnish names. Whats considered typical in Finland?

I believe it's basically Finnish versions of names like for instance Timo might be the Finnish version of Timothy, my first name is a Swedish version of Peter the same way Pierre and Pjotr are the French and Russian versions of Peter. Rasmus for instance comes from the name Erasmus. There's a Finnish Habs fan that posts here off and on who can probably let us know. I am 1/4 Finnish myself but I only learned some thank you phrases, numbers and dirty words.
