We've got a team, so now it's time to start betting on them.

Station Casinos put out some prop bets for the new Vegas franchise, what do you put your money on?

Season Points: Over/Under: 72.5

First Regular Season Game: Las Vegas +150 vs TBA -170

First Las Vegas Regular Season Goal:
  • 1/2 odds for a full strength goal
  • 2/1 odds for a power play goal
  • 10/1 odds for a short-handed goal
  • 25/1 odds for a penalty shot in regulation
  • 4/1 odds that no goal will be scored in regulation

So, what do you think?

-72 would put us as 3rd worse team in 2016 season. I believe they'll have enough talent to break that.

First Game: Opponent -170
-Odds are they bring in a star team to kick it off with excitement nationally. Won't be easy.

First Goal: Power Play
-Safe bet here I think.

I'll take the over. The teams have a year to game that expansion draft, but there only so much they can do. I predict LV will have good goaltending, bad defense and average offense. 73 should be attainable.

Opponent -170 - I hate the ceremony that always opens these games. I feel like it works against the home team. Home team will be tight, visitor has no pressure. Plus LV will have all of one month of practice together. If they are .500 at New Years it will be an amazing start.

I'll sit out on the third.

I'll play the over for sure.

Depends on who we play game 1. A dollar seventy is a pretty chalky number.

Would put us at a moderate + on the other side.

First goal? I'll live dangerously and go with a shorty!

When I managed a book here in town we always had a few hockey props. Hardly any cool props like football though.
