Does it matter? He was drafted too high and then struggled in an organization that rushed him. The fact that he's finally put it all together is awesome. I mean dude never gave up on his dream.

Hopes? what hopes? All backups are fringe imo unless they're a 1 b. And why are you as a Canucks fan lecturing me on whether a goalie is a fringe goalie or not? We have a much better system for goalies than you guys and have been for awhile. We passed you the goalie graveyard baton some time ago.

He played well enough, but the Kings really cheated defensively to shore him up. I think it's one of the reasons Kopitar had such a down year.
