Laines +/- this season

I am not advocading for +/- as a good stat for defensive qualities, but I reacted at the fact that Laine is -17 on jets while the next worst player is only -4. That's a pretty weird statisical anamoly. Has Laine been noticable bad defensively or is the stat just a fluke?
