Smid was a joy to watch develop! Sad to see him go. Will miss him. Wish him the best...

For his first 3-4 seasons, I wasn't a big fan. Seeing his hard work and heart and soul character, over time, I grew to love him.

His exit leaves me further jaded...

Looked be a bottom pairing guy who somewhat struggled against average competition last night. I hope MacT has that $3.5M bookmarked for a better d-man for the next 3 years, but I'd bet they'll throw Nurse into the fire.
