Are they good playmakers/passers? And how are the similar and how they differ?

From what I read it sounds like they are pretty similar and have similar size, but Tukonen is almost a year younger. Who do you think will be a better NHL player?

How does Ladd compare to Dustin Brown? Any similarities/differences?

For a power type winger, Ladd has outstanding vision. He is just as good a passer/playmaker as he is a shooter.

Ladd is a power forward, straight up. Tukonen is more of a gritty forward. If you know what I mean.

If I was to compare them to NHL players, Ladd would be maybe a Gary Roberts, whereas Tukonen would be maybe a Richard Zednik. Something like that.

No major similarities. Ladd is bigger, more physical, bigger presence on the ice. Brown maybe was better his last year, but Ladd certainly has more NHL potential than Brown does (not saying Brown sucks either). Brown is more of a character forward who can score, whereas Ladd is a full blown power forward.
