The only silver lining I've got is at least it's not Jeff Skinner at $9M+... I guess I'm also glad we didn't land Hall long-term.

How the heck did we give up so many odd-man rushes, I thought we played strong defensive game on our end but the turnover that led to the odd-man rushes certainly cost us the game.

That, and the fact Rinne had an off-night.

That, and the fact we only scored one goal at even strength against Detroit in two games.

Poile has finally reached the zenith of his career - creating a team with literally no offense.
Oh, of course we’re going to accidentally have the puck bounce to one of our guys, once in a while.
But what you do then is really important. Do not say or do anything offensive. Do not make any sudden moves toward the other team’s net. Do not do anything that makes the other team feel threatened or uncomfortable.
Most of all do not do anything that involves more than one of our players. If we start messing around as a group, it can be construed as very gang-like, full of hate and threats.
Luckily we have found lots of players who will take lots of money, but still abide by these principles. If we just had all league minimum guys it would be easier to have no offense, but this would probably be judged as economic terrorism against the hockey peoples.
