I played in a youth hockey tourny in KC in the early 80's and the ice rink still had a few orginal Scouts souveniers for sale. I scored a puck that I still own.

I love the Scouts logo, but for some reason, I don't think that logo would be widely acceptable in today's world.

It's funny how things change, re: acceptable logo....

I was reading an old hockey magazine last night from 1975 and in the ad section there was an illustration of a scrawny man and woman, next to one with a nicely-build couple hugging on the beach. It was an ad for a weight gaining supplement and the tagline read in bold letters, "SKINNY MEN AND WOMEN ARE NOT ATTRACTIVE" Had some description of the product, then said, "SO YOU CAN BE CONSIDERED ATTRACTIVE IN A PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL SETTING". I mean, could you imagine an advert like this today?

I could absolutely imagine that. Visit any clickbait site and look for the phrase "Trainers HATE him"

The Kansas City Scouts definitely had one of the more unique uniforms. I really liked the color scheme they used and when the franchise transferred to Colorado they kept the same colors even though the overall design changed. I guess when the franchise relocated once again to New Jersey to become the Devils, the color selection was limited given the name chosen. I suppose the color change from the original red, green and white when the team arrived in New Jersey to that of red, black and white made sense to better reflect the team name. I do wonder if the fans in New Jersey would have preferred a name other than Devils so they could have kept the colors used in Kansas City and Colorado.

Made sense to keep the same colours in Colorado. They're the colours on Colorado's state flag

That's very true although they didn't have to. The state flag colors were never used by the NFL Denver Broncos or MLB Colorado Rockies. I'm glad the hockey team kept the colors as they worked well in their case.

... 5 flavor roll?... nowadays only available in Canada... personally, I liked the Butterscotch flavor. :P
Butterscotch, lol. I remember them!! And root beer. I actually still eat the original mint ones like they're going out of style.

Amazing, eh? Magazine adds have always preyed on people's insecurities, and promised amazing and quick results.....

2 seasons doesn't get you much especially since Kansas never got another team.

Barons are the exception because it's Cleveland. Rockies are decent as well, McDonald.
