The Hakimi debate is not really one considering that he is a good wing back but a bad full back. He fit Favre's system at Dortmund and Conte's system at Milan because they like to play three at the back which Zidane at Real does not do.

Hakimi is better as wing back to be sure. Obviously. However he did line up as a full back at times (pre-Inter) and he wasn't always bad. That's not to mention he grow into the position. Of course if Madridistas want to let talents they might need go then who am I to complain?

There are only so many players you can accommodate and Hakimi wanted guaranteed playing time. It really was just another Kovacic situation and they are doing fine without him.

I don't disagree that accommodating Hakimi would have been entirely easy. That doesn't mean it couldn't have been done.

Kovacic isn't a good comparison for multiple reasons.

Hakimi should’ve been kept over Odegaard, but he’s not much of a back four player. I suspect that’s why Madrid didn’t want to keep him.

Dest bouncing back... great game so far. The rest not so good.

bananas that Koeman went back to the same line up. What a muppet. Laporta comes in on the 7th and 2nd leg CL is on the 10th. I hope he circles those dates

What a joke.

literally the same shit every week. Koeman puts on clowns and is shocked by the circus 90 mins. Trincao/Puig come on and guess what much better the billionaire boys. Lenglet what else is there to say.

I watched the first half and the last 15 minutes of the second.
Trincao didn't do anything in those 15 and I remember Puig having a nice 1/2 with Messi.
That's it.

Guess you missed Puig chance that was made possible by Trincao work deep in his half. This all in 10/15 mins. Griezzy did f*** all for an hour and missed a 1v1. They should absolutely start next game but they won’t so I won’t hold my breath.
