Then enjoy going trophyless.
Maybe, if you bring Zidane's blind luck back.
It’s ok we still have more trophies than you guys
How many were you alive for?
If I close my eyes I would think I'm talking to a Liverpool fan.
“I became a Liverpool fan when my dad took me to Anfield as a kid. There I saw the great Ian Rush. I’ve been a Scouser ever since”
Bale is the greatest
Vini is raw AF yet but he's reanimated Madrid. When he gets better at finishing and improve his decision making he could become one of the best in his position. Huge for a 18y kid.
His decision making is really poor though. It's like... There's instincts there, he just needs experience, sometimes it just seems he doesn't have the vision to make a rather simple pass and carve open a defense.
I know he won the penalty vs Atleti, but for the most part he had a poor game IMO (including losing the ball for the Atleti goal).
Funny enough, I thought VAR messed up both those goals.
Vinicius (way I see it) was fouled out of the box and "rode" the foul into the box - should/could have been given outside.
And he was also definitely fouled by Correa on the Atleti goal (though his first touch to even put himself in that position was Bale-esque).
Barca is missing Alba and just seems to be playing at 80% or something.
That said, this Bilbao team is playing like a completely different team compared to the first part of the season.
And while, yes, they hack and slash and grab people to be in the games, they do have some genuine quality there and could've scored a couple of goals.
Barca, like I said, looked like a team hoping to score a goal and ride the game out because they're trying to get their A game ready for the CL
(even though the game was 9 days away).
Regardless, I think it's fair to say you expect more from a Mess-Barca, even if some of these team are absolutely atrocious to play against (Bilbao, Atletico, etc.) - especially if you don't score early.
And while I do love Neuer and I think he's probably the greatest ever goalkeeper along with Yashin...
If I'm picking one goalkeeper for my team right now, it's Ter Stegen.
Absolutely ridiculous shot stopping, and is still very good as a sweeper keeper.
Ter Stegen was superb once again, he is the most complete gk at the moment.
Messi is still kind of injured, with hindsight better to rest him yesterday
They have no midweek games for a change, so he (and the rest of the team) have got a week to rest and then a relatively easy game at the weekend (Valladolid at home) before their CL tie.
But but De Gea is better LOL
Yeah, I had a dream that Barca lost 2-0 against Roma in the CL next week (even though they don't play Roma) LOOL. I was furious for them starting Messi against Bilbao.
Benzema now has 211 goals and 120 assists in 450 Real games. While never shooting the penalties.
He also has 60 career CL goals.
He has been awesome this year.
Valverde has signed for another year with an option to stay for the 20/21 season as well.
@les Habs will love this.
What a horrible game. So glad we'll have another year of Valverde ball
And then Madrid lose at home to Girona.
Asensio and Vasquez are overrated... Asensio still can score some nice goals from time to time, Vasquez on the other hand is utter useless. Madrid needs two new wingers and have Vini as a rotational option. Upgrading on Benzeman wouldn't hurt, either.
Could have been worse
Ramos should have gotten a straight red on that handball
Idk what’s going on with Marcelo, he doesn’tseem to have the drive anymore.
Maybe he wants to play with CR in Turin
Bale should leave this summer imo
Just a quick update Lo celso is class.
Dour match against Valladolid. We deserved the 3 points, but just barely. Poor first half and while the second half improved the team didn't look like a week's rest did them any favors much less like it helped them prepare for the next few upcoming fixtures. For me the biggest problem was the inclusion of both Boateng and Vidal. My personal feelings on their presence in the team in general aside, they clearly looked out of step with the rest of the team. To be fair a lot of guys, Messi included, weren't looking great out there, but in particular those two seemed to stick out like sore thumbs in the build up play. For me Alena and Coutinho were two bright spots and I was again pleased with what I saw from the former. Too bad Messi didn't leave that second penalty for Coutinho. Masip with a big performance on his return to the Camp Nou, so good for him.
Have to single out Gerry for some praise. Only player in the team, and I believe the league, to play every minute of every match thus far this season. Good match from him too. Curious Valverde hasn't rested him yet with the fixtures ahead and especially considering they brought in Murillo and moved up the Todibo deal. Valverde has even been impressed with Todibo in training.
You actually have to feel sorry for Ramos. I think it's 25 sendings off at this stage, but if the refs got things right it'd surely be more like 50 at this stage.
Indeed, but then I wasn't surprised by the post.
Well what can I say. He's not that bad, but we should have better. A lot of my frustration comes from his selection. I honestly think that Dembele would have seen less minutes than he has were it not for him showing up as he has. Anyway, I'm too tired to get into it and it wasn't good news to get while on vacation on top of everything else. Hopefully my return and the Valladolid result aren't a coincidence.
Really nice link up from Promes and Yedder there...Barcelona just with a last ditch deflection on the shot.
Beautiful counterattack by Sevilla. All started with a poor pass from Messi that Promes cut out, Promes makes a perfect outlet pass and ben Yedder with just the perfect patience before laying off to Navas for the finish.
