It was dumb because you're taking away valuable baseball development time by letting him play football and giving him the option to back away from the deal to play in the NFL.

Which is why I think playing football is the right move financially for Murray even though he's giving back whatever he's giving up.

From a financial standpoint he made the best decision. From the perspective of long-term health he made worst decision.

It came down to what he preferred to play. Can't hate him for it. It's his life.
