    No poll?

I think I am biased, but Eberle's goal in the 2009 WJC with 5.4 seconds left is the most "clutch" goal I have ever seen in hockey. Not to mention he was clutch in two separate WJC.

    Very true.

That being said, I was 5 rows behind the Russian net when Eberle scored that goal to tie that game up in 2009, it was the greatest sporting moment that I personally have ever witnessed. I have never felt more Canadian than that moment when Scotia Bank Place erupted. I have to go with Ebs:handclap:

And Kuznetsov is still eligible next year. :naughty:

I'm going to go with Kuzya. Eberle frequently in the right place at the right time (an invaluable skill to have, definitely) than completely carrying his team. Kuznetsov completely dominated puck possession and used raw skill to best whoever he was against on the ice and carry his team to victory.

If Kuznetsov's teammate hadn't have been in the right place at the right time against Finland the whole question would have probably been moot

It should also be mentioned that Eberle scored the winning goal in the shootout

The "play" that opened the opportunity for Eberle to finish was a stars aligning moment that will be very hard to top, national pride or not, without a doubt

Possibly biased vote for Eberle here.

What he did against the Russians was pretty spectacular, but the fact that he repeated the heroics the following year with the 2 goals against the US (including the tying goal to push it to OT) just pushes it over the top for me.

What Kuznetsov did was amazing in it's own right, but Eberle walks away with this one.

I'm neither Canadian, or Russian. I'm a Caps fan, so obviously I'm 100% unbiased :sarcasm:

    Obviously Kuznetsov.

added a poll. sorry, it was late and i forgot.

for a single tournament, i think kuznetsov's was more impressive. But eberle did it over 2 tournaments, which is ridiculous. As i said in the OP, really tough call for me.

    Forsure

I'm voting Eberle because he did it over and over and over and over.

given the large canadian contingent on this site, i suppose i`m not too surprised with the results, but i honestly thought this would be a lot more even.

Eberle, because he was heroic in two tournaments. I would compare Kuznetsov's heroics more with that of Toews in 2007 than Eberle's. Probably better than Toews, but not on the same level as Eberle.

If Kuznetsov comes back and does something similar next year, then he probably takes the title.

I think it's going to be harder to judge as well without seeing what the Russians do next tournament. if they're poor, it might hinder his performance.

I will say this, the Russians were dead to rights out of it, and Kuznetsov made a complete change when it counted.

Eberle's was impressive as well. I'm not sure how to make a choice between the two honestly.

If we are looking in a single tournament Kuznetsov, but overall Eberle's been more clutch

Eberle, but if Kuznetsov puts up another performance like that next year he might have an edge.
