Hey everyone, here is my 2009 NHL Mock Entry Draft. Enjoy.

1) New York Islanders - John Tavares - The Islanders need someone to put fans in the seats. Hello Tavares.
2) Tampa Bay Lightning - Victor Hedman - After drafting franchise forward Steven Stamkos with the #1 pick in last years draft, the Lightning pick up their franchise defenseman Victor Hedman, whom will step in immediately.
3) Colorado Avalanche - Matt Duchene - Colorado gets their man.
4) Atlanta Thrashers - Evander Kane - The Thrashers could go with the more complete Brayden Schenn, but love Evander Kane’s potential too much to pass him up.
5) Los Angeles Kings - Brayden Schenn - A 1-2 punch of Kopitar-Schenn will go a long way into helping the Kings get back into the playoffs.
6) Phoenix Coyotes - Oliver Ekman-Larsson - Phoenix needs a defenseman, and Ekman-Larsson has shot up the rankings since the beginning of the year.
7) Toronto Maple Leafs - Jared Cowen - Toronto thinks about taking the highly skilled winger Magnus Paajarvi-Svensson, but Jared Cowen’s potential is too good to pass up.
8) Dallas Stars - Jordan Schroeder - Dallas is in need of right handed, right wingers. Schroeder is their man.
9) Ottawa Senators - Magnus Paajarvi-Svensson - Ottawa is looking for some offense to replace Dany Heatley once he’s been traded, and Paajarvi-Svensson will look very good alongside Spezza.
10) Edmonton Oilers - Scott Glennie - The Oilers need a goal scorer, and they get one in Glennie
11) Nashville Predators - Nazem Kadri - Nashville was hoping Schroeder would fall to them, but are happy with Kadri.
12) Minnesota Wild - Jacob Josefsson - Minnesota needs offense, and Josefsson is a responsible two-way centre.
13) Buffalo Sabres - Dmitri Kulikov - Buffalo is very happy to have this talented defenseman fall to them, who has shown a strong commitment to making the NHL.
14) Florida Panthers - John Moore - Florida needs someone to replace the potential loss of Jay Bouwmeester to Free Agency this summer, and look no further then the speedy John Moore.
15) Anaheim Ducks - Zack Kassian - Kassian fits the Ducks tough style of play.
16) Columbus Blue Jackets - Ryan Ellis - Perhaps Columbus’ biggest need is a powerplay quarterback, and they take a guy who, while he is undersized, scored 89 points in junior last season.
17) St. Louis Blues - Chris Kreider - The Blues have no glaring weaknesses, so they
18) Montreal Canadiens - Louis LeBlanc - The Canadiens are worried about a potential riot if they do not select the French Canadian centreman;) Seriously though, Montreal needs a centre, and take the responsible two-way centreman.
19) New York Rangers - Peter Holland - The Rangers look to re-stock offensive prospects, and look no further then Peter Holland.
20) Calgary Flames - David Rundblad - The Flames look to re-stock the defensive stable and select the highly skilled defenseman from Sweden.
21) Philadelphia Flyers - Landon Ferraro - Having done well drafting late 1st round talents over the last few years (Giroux for one), the Flyers take the
22) Vancouver Canucks - Calvin de Haan - The Canucks are in need of defense prospects after the tragic death of Luc Bourdon, and select the offensively-gifted de Haan of the OHL's Oshawa Generals.
23) New Jersey Devils - Kyle Palmieri - The Devils add a potential game-breaking forward in Palmieri.
24) Washington Capitals - Zach Buddish - The Capitals lack potential powerforwards, and are thrilled to select the hulking Zach Buddish, who missed most of the 2008-2009 season after blowing out his knee playing football.
25) Boston Bruins - Stefan Elliott - The Bruins re-stock the defensive cupboard, having dealt away Matt Lashoff at the trade deadline.
26) New York Islanders - Dylan Olsen - The Islanders take a defenseman with their 2nd first round draft pick.
27) Carolina Hurricanes - Carter Ashton - The Hurricanes don't select defensemen in the first round, and take the hulking Carter Ashton as a potential replacement for Erik Cole.
28) Chicago Blackhawks - Jordan Caron - The Blackhawks select Jordan Caron to re-plenish their centre depth.
29) Detroit Red Wings - Carl Klingberg - With no glaring weaknesses, Klingberg fits the Detroit mold perfectly, and the Wings can afford to be patient with him until he's ready for the NHL.
30) Pittsburgh Penguins - Jeremy Morin - The Penguins add a goal-scoring winger to the stable, and look for Morin to line-up alongside Crosby or Malkin in a couple of years.

Comments appreciated. Hope everyone enjoyed the read :)
