When choosing the player whom to call up from the A, especially to bottom 6 duties, do they necessarily bring up the prospect that is "best" and/or "most fitting"?
Or can it be that there are open questions about that particular player and his NHL compatibility that they wish to have answered at this point of his development, which questions they feel have been comfortably enough answered already on the other prospects who could've otherwise been called up before him?
Obviously in this case they are looking to stock up his trade value for the Tavares trade at the deadline. Now that bad weather Necas is in the organization, it's only sensible to send "Islander" to his own, to not anger the hockey gods.
