Kraken sign Finnish defenseman Peetro Seppala to entry-level contract

The deal kicks in next season and will see Seppala, 21, who has already played five seasons in Finland's top professional league, invited to Kraken training camp.

Seems like Mikael wouldn't be a bad move. At 28 he's experienced and is playing for Finland's national team for the second straight year.

Bringing Jalonen with him couldn't hurt.

I think Mikael Seppälä could do well in NHL. No nonsense defender who plays hard but clean. Also strong physically and mentally. It would be interesting to see Jalonen in NHL. I believe he would make the team much stronger defensively. Although I would go after Trotz now that he is available.

This will be very interesting. I have been following him for a longer period now. As Cisse writes above, he is a clean cut defender who makes no mistakes, does not avoid contact and is reasonable with the puck. His strength is a match to this role in NHL. Good luck to Mikael Seppälä!
