I thought Kovalev play selfish unspired hockey the last two games, however... I retract everything bad Ive said about Kovalev. He was a true captain, and I am proud of his patriotism and commitment.

-Is it true that many leaders of the national team played with serious injuries in Turin?
Krikunov (Russia's coach): Nabokov and Gonchar had groin problems. Datsyuk had a broken finger. Kovalev went out on the ice with an injury so severe, a player in the RSL wouldn't have even entered the dressing room. This is on top of those who were forced to pull out of the tournament.

Sorry Kovalev, I didnt know, thanks for your service!

I thought Kovalev and a lot of the other Russian players showed a lot of heart and desire to win. If I was Russian I would be very proud after seeing them play.

On the other hand he says that he "forgets about defeats right after the game".

This is a pro's attitude that led the US to where they are. To hell with this. Give me AO-Kharitonov-Malkin's attitude. I want a player to care. I want these two games to come back to a player in his worst dreams again and again, so may be next time he'll give it all.
