If he signs with the habs, its gonna be an incredible year... :yo:
Its not like he's going to flip a switch and score a goal like that every game you know.

Its awesome goals like that which make him as frustrating a player as he is. Because for every goal he scores like that, he'll make about a dozen complete bonehead plays in his own end, many of which lead to goals the other way.

I liked it too, however Kovalev is too young to sign with Leafs, you have to be a little more patient, maybe in 4 or 5 years he will be a Leaf material.

Nice.....1835 posts and he still left himself wide open for that. LOL :lol

Looking forward to the crying habbers when he signs with somebody else.

Hopefully the Leafs. :D

Im looking forward to anyone crying period, cuz when they find out like we at NYR did, he's not guaranteed. We knew he was good, but he still didnt do anything. we gave him 2 shots in NYR and it idnt pan out.

Yeah I want one too.

Easily the goal of the tournament...so far.

a close second would be Lehtinen's backhander from the other night... good good, wild wild stuff..

OT here, but has to do w/ Kovalev... the sports book in the casino i stayed in recently in Las Vegas had the Habs at 30-1 to win the cup!
i put ten down just in case Theodore gets hot and Kovalev signs..

they had NJ at 10-1, also... couldn't resist..

what are you talking about?

he was the only player down the stretch in '02-03 who showed up and actually kept NYR in #8 seed contention up until the third to last game of the season; his first go-round, he was used at 2nd line centre with Tikkanen and Anderson and we all know how that ended up.

i'm real sorry he didn't become a 50 goal scorer for NYR, either, but i'll take his '94 cup form any day over whatever barometer it is you're referring to..

His goal against Slovaks was a thing of beauty too.
indeed it was... any clips of that one?

if you watch the goal against the US frame by frame, you'll notice that when he took his shot, the puck was practically on the goaline... yet he managed to roof it despite being a left hand shot and being on the left side of the net... an almost impossible shot.
