IDK. Don't know the ins/outs of what happened in Jersey but that always rubbed me the wrong way. Got exactly what he wanted from a gullible, incompetent GM in Montreal. Got to be "showcased" in a high profile market. Will he be back? If the Habs pay him an arm and a leg he very well may be. Can hardly wait.

No, it was a smart move to sign him for nothing and get a return. He fits well on a team that can slot him in as the 6th best forward. On the habs he is arguably the best player...which on paper sounds great, but he is not good enough to be the best player anymore.

The fact the team is 8 pts out of the race, doesn't mean they don't suck, it means they are chasing equally awful teams. You can't see a decent backup getting 5 more wins on this team? Don't be silly, its not a tall order to suggest your backup isn't getting 15 wins a year, nevermind 5. Good god, the Leafs are awful, it isn't saying anything about this joke of a team, or management, by not catching them.
