All but 1.1 million counts against the cap while burried. so he would still be almost 3M against the cap.

1.2 million of cap is buried, goes up 50k a year I think. Rest is cap so 2.8 million

Yes, and that would also make sense with Staois' “no buyout” statements in the interview. If teams thought the Senators would buy out Korpisalo and had any interest in him (yes, strange concept), then they’d just wait until he’s bought out.
