What did the Pens in 07-08 and the Pebs at the end of 08-09 have in common? Both had a leader that let Sid focus on himself. Look what happened in the period between Roberts and Guerin in Pittsburgh. Do you believe it's just coincidence that in our 2 best runs that Crosby wasn't running the team? That's what we hoped Iginla and Morrow would do last year, but they just hopped along for the ride.

Maybe this team just isn't good. Maybe they are playing to their full potential. We have an average defense, probably the worst bottom 6 of the decent teams and easily the worst wingers in the nhl. Maybe we should expect a mediocre season since shero assembled a mediocre roster.

You do know where the Flyers are in the standings? This has been "Groundhog Day" for now 5 seasons running, so I guess that means they have been mediocre for 5 seasons?

He's also become a ****** bag who usually can't find a right opinion to save his live. I'll give him this one though.

Hey, at this point I'd even accept a change in captaincy if I felt it could help this inertia that has settled into this squad. But that isn't going to do anything except open up a can of worms best left closed.

Acquiring a player from the outside with some added leadership isn't a terrible idea, but the problem with that is chances are Shero will get someone he knows will work well with Bylsma, which means more grinding B.S. and another body to %$#&-block one of the younger members of the team. So yeah no it's not what we need.

Besides, we basically did that last deadline when we went all in for Iginla, Morrow and Murray. Seems like these good ol' boys didn't want or need new voices. And the coach made a mockery of the added bodies at his disposal.

So when Sid was the Captain for the 08 and 09 runs you KNOW he wasn't running the team, but when he was the captain for the remaining runs, no matter who was on the roster, you KNOW he was running the team?

Well, Crosby and Malkin (as much as they are blamed here) were clearly our best players out there.

Neal is missing like crazy, wtf???. Letang is missing like crazy (expected).

And I will say one thing, WE ARE NOT WINNING A CUP WITH DUPUIS ON THE 1ST LINE. Not. No. Nope. Never. Guy has no business being there, but I´m scared that he will stay there for whole 4 years.. Shero & Bylsma, thank you!! That sucks.
