"Probably tomorrow's signing story"?

Does Russo already know something? :eek2:

IT'S HAPPENING

Still think it's ridiculous the NHL isn't allowing him to play, but it's fine for him to sign and come over. Would've made those play-in rounds that much more interesting.

On the podcast most recent Russo/Souhan he said he’d be shocked if Kaprizov opts not to sign.
He's oozing confidence that once the window opens, it's basically a done deal at this point!

I'm almost afraid to believe him as it might jinx it... but if he really does "know" something...

At least he'll be catching Edmonton at the best possible time. They have the most beautiful summers up there.

“If Kaprizov signs, Guerin said the NHL has ruled that Kaprizov can not only attend training camp starting Monday to practice with the team but also would be permitted to accompany the team to Edmonton to practice while the team resumes the season. He would, however, have to count as part of the Wild’s 31-player expanded roster and would remain ineligible to play.”

Sounds like if he were to fly commercially, he would be subject to a 14 day quarantine...this wouldn't be the case if he flies on a charter assuming he passes a Covid test.

I have many questions, but the most pressing is will Russo once again hide out in the bushes at the airport hoping to get a glimpse of Kaprizov getting off of Leipold's private jet like he did when Parise and Suter arrived to sign their deals?

So Kaprizov can sign with the Wild, practice with the Wild, but can't play in games? How tf does that make any sense...

Is it really that easy to track down a tail number for a corporate jet?
The civil aviation community is pretty dedicated to this sort of thing. Certain flight trackers like FlightAware will block tracking through their site at the owners request, but projects like OpenSky Network are dedicated to making that information freely available to anyone.

As far as tracking down a tail number for a corporate jet - hedge funds do this too, and they pay HUGE money for access to the data. Here's a cool story about it:

In April 2019, a stock research firm told clients that a Gulfstream V owned by Houston-based Occidental Petroleum Corp. had been spotted at an Omaha airport. The immediate speculation was that Occidental executives were negotiating with Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway to get financial help in their $38 billion offer for rival Anadarko Petroleum Corp. Two days later, Buffet announced a $10 billion investment in Occidental.

How far in advance do they have to publish the flight plan? Would it be possible that they are planning on using Leipold's jet, but just aren't making plans to get him until he's officially signed tomorrow?

I've personally flown private numerous times without much more than an hour or two advanced notice. Not sure how far in advance is normal or not.
