18-YEAR-OLD DACH SCORES TWICE TO EXTEND POINT STREAK
Kirby Dach (2-0—2), 18, recorded the first multi-goal game of his NHL career to extend his point streak to four contests (4-2—6) and help the Blackhawks improve to 5-0-1 in their last six outings, including four straight wins. The third overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft became the fourth different 18-year-old in franchise history to record a point streak of four or more games.

* Dach became the third 18-year-old in franchise history to record a multi-goal game (regular season or playoffs), joining Eddie Olczyk in Game 1 of the 1985 Division Semifinals (2-1—3 vs. DET) and Patrick Kane on Oct. 23, 2007 (2-2—4 vs. CBJ).

* Kane, now 30, scored Sunday to extend his point streak to nine games (8-9—17), which includes recording at least one goal in each of his last six contests (7-6—13). His six-game goal streak is the longest by any player in the NHL this season.

That's me in the corner
Jack Hughes: 4g + 6a = 10pts in 19 games, - 7 (tied for 2nd worst on team)
Kaapo Kakko: 6g + 2a = 8pts in 16 games, -10 (worst on his team)
Kirby Dach: 5g + 4a = 9pts in 14 games, + 3 (tied for 7th best on team)

You saw that New Jersey and New York are petitioning the league for a re-draft, right?

They're claiming they got duped by Central Scouting, and it was all collusion to help the Blackhawks.

Yes, I did see your post from last night.

But if they want Dach, they'll have to kill me. Or pay me a pretty penny. Otherwise they ain't gettin him!

Kakko: 0.50PPG, 4PP points, 15:18 TOI/GP
Dach: 0.64PPG, 1PP point, 11:13 TOI/GP

So at even strength, Hughes has 5pts in 19 games, Kakko has 4pts in 16 games, and Dach has 8pts in 14 games.

let's also understand this..the Devils and Rangers were worse off teams than us last year, and IMO still are. The Rangers just aren't that deep overall outside of Panarin and Zibanejad and the Devils are so thin offensively despite making upgrades. much more is expected out the gate of those two kids than here with Dach..

for right now, Dach is in a perfect situation. there is enough talent on this team to help shield him...everyone clamors for more minutes, but with more minutes comes tougher matchups. Dach has handled himself nicely and has shown he deserves more ice time..but Kakko and Hughes are getting the top d pairings and top lines against them nightly..Hughes especially when he plays with Hall..Kakko getting a lot of 2nd line minutes as well, drawing tougher competition.

we all love Dach, and he looks to be the real deal, but he is NOT better than Kakko or Hughes right now....maybe in a few years it will come out that way, but we all need to use context here and just be thankful we have an 18 year old contributing the way he has been. there WILL be ups and downs this year, please don't jump off a ledge when the downs come, because they will..but for right now we all should be excited for what he is doing, but 12 games into a season does not make a career...I still take both Hughes and Kakko over Dach today..wouldn't think twice about it either.
