Generational.

These two signings today are going to define the rebuild. I guess the rebuild is done.

You guys are getting a never complain, heart and soul 25 minute munching defensive D on a sweetheart contract. Gonna miss the f*** out of him.

Well hopefully we won’t need him to play 25 minutes, but the rest of that sounds great for 2 years.

Edit: Apparently it’s 1 year.

Well, there’s your veteran defenseman. Not great but not bad. Gives them more time to see on their prospects before they deal one away for a younger top 4.

Edler ended MacK's season two years ago...stone hard. [Trump voice: - Such a perfect fit, such a perfect fit.]

Good for him...cap hit is a bit big at this point in his career but glad he found a home. The poster that said he's a heart and soul guy wasn't lying

At 2 years I was kind of meh, but now that its confirmed to be a 1 year I like it a lot more. Another veteran presence, but this time its on the blue line. A guy who can take Even strength and PK pressure off of Bjornfot and Anderson who can also be sort of a mentor to those 2 I think is extremely valuable. Also anything to not have Maatta play is a plus for me.

I'm ok with this 1 year deal as a stop gap and provide some veteran leadership on the back end...

but please, for the love of the Hockey Gods, do not try dropping the mitts here in LA, Alex.
