Kings were the 4th consecutive team to win the cup after opening in Europe as part of the Premier series...

Pens (2009), Hawks (2010), Bruins (2011) Kings (2012) they haven't done it since 2012 season.

The Kings fired a coach that season, and almost traded Brown, due to a poor start to the season.
