If the Oilers continue at their past-10 games rate of 5-4-1 (trading a win for a loss with 1/5 losses being in OT), overall for the season that puts them at 94 points. 94 has been good enough for playoffs in the WC 3 out of the last 4 years. But the margin of error there is razor thin, take just one of those wins, convert it to a regulation loss and playoff odds drop dramatically. This team has to be more consistent.

It hasnt been quite that bad but to your point they havent been much better than .500 since their hot start.
I think though that when a team is finding itself these types of things will happen.
The important thing for me is how they respond to the letdowns....so far so good.
All that being said they really do need to put together a winning streak.
