The real curse is the 2014 Cup banner. They earned that on Friday the 13th, and basically everything since June 13th, 2014, has not been good. If there's one to cover up, or just take down altogether, it's the Cup one. 2012 too, just to be safe.

I took my daughter to one of those shows in 2015. Totally worth putting up a banner for it.

Yeah not just to be contrarian in this thread but selling out a venue 16 times in a row seems pretty damn impressive to me. Like a 16 game win streak in a sport would be.

While Swift may not be most hockey fans cup of tea she is insanely popular in the world, and in places in the world that have no idea ice hockey even exists.

Covering the banner seems pretty petty (and pointless) to me.

Well if I am reading my wikipedia correctly, and I think I am, she broke the arena's record of 15 straight sellouts over the course of three separate concert tours. The prior record was held by the band Maná.

There’s so much to unpack here.

Why put up a banner celebrating concert sellouts? Not sure, but multiple venues have done this.

It’s one thing to do this for, like, The Rolling Stones after 50 shows. But why do this after only 16 shows for someone in her 20s? Her age is irrelevant. She set the record. It took sixteen sold out shows to set the record so its odd to say "only 16 shows."

What happens if the next concert sells out too? Is there another banner? No, cause 16 shows is what set the record. She will be raising the bar with further sellouts, but she will remain the record holder.

What happens if the next concert is half empty? Do you take it down? No, because that would have zero effect on the record the banner is acknowledging.

I need answers.
