OT: Kindl or Smith

Of course this is hypothetical.

What if a team offered a player everybody wanted and they were asking for either Kindl or Smith in return.

What player out of the two would you rather keep. Let's take current contracts out of it and just look at what player is better now or in the next year or so.

keep Smith. Right now, I don't think either player is overly special, but Smith is younger and cheaper.

I'd let Smith go, we have another one of him in the pipeline. A mistake prone Sproul. I'd rather have Sproul than Smith.

Smith has been much better this year and he has the potential and style to be another Kronwall for us.

I should add that I would want to keep both. This was just a hypothetical if for some reason only one could be kept.

For me I keep Kindl. I think his game has progressed and his mistakes are not as big as Smith's. I know Smith is still learning but he seems to be making the same ones over and over.

Kindl and Ericsson were our best Dmen last night, by far. Kindl is playing awesome this year - heads and shoulders above Smith.

It has.

Kindl is the better player and they need him more right now than Smith but why not keep both ?

If Sproul or whomever develops into a better player great but let's watch how things play out.
