today he was sent down to Charlotte for a conditioning assignment (plays Sunday and Monday)

Did he resist at first? Feels like he's been healthy for awhile but has held out for NHL time.

No, not at all. He has a one–way deal, therefore money would be the same. I can tell you that he has not been healthy, still is not 100%. But he wants to play and knows that Peters has done a tremendous job, when he was injured.


Is he happy to play for the Checkers? Heck no! But he knows that he needs starts, and Charlotte (Chicago for that matter) is the only place that he can get them.
