Next then is Charlie Huddy. He rode shotgun to messier, Anderson and Coffey as did Lowe did for Kurri and Gretz

Wow, that is a surprise. Didn't think Lowe would get the votes. Congrats to both.

Charlie Huddy was a damned good player for his role. The Hall of Fame shouldn't be for really good third pairing defencemen.

Huddy was to Messier as Lowe was to Gretz. Huddy was not the third line D man.

In my opinion, (and only that...my opinion) I really believe the standards for a HOF should be very, very, strict. On that outlook, 3/4 of the people currently residing in the HOF would be out.

However, according to the standards that have been set for others, Kevin Lowe easily should be included in the HHOF. There is no question in my mind on that.

I've always looked Lowe as one of those players that if he was ever inducted, it would make sense just as much as it would make sense for him not being inducted.

No matter what he should have had his number retired by now reasons beyond just his counting stats, so this at least makes that a slam dunk. Congratulations.

Lowe doesn't deserve it IMO. Number retirement is a different story.

HOF should be reserved for the best of the best. Not guys who got to play with the best.

Personally wouldn't select Lowe.

This is all about Iginla though. Complete class act and a phenomenal hockey player and it's a total shame that he never won a cup (somewhere other than Calgary...)
