IMO Kessel had very strong passing for the college level...in the pros, that may translate to being an average passing game. Although I could see him taking that part of his game up, the way he did with the Gophers.
Kessel's speed at any level will be world class. In the IIHF, I saw him start two strides behind a Canadian forward (can't remember his name) he caught him and casually took the puck away.
