I wanted to ask a question. If Kari Lehtonen (as he is today) was avalible in the 04 draft...where would you project him to go overall?

I know it's a stupid question, but I wanted to know what his worth is in the draft with Oveckin among others...

    Where would he go?

    #2 behind Ovechkin.

Still right behind Ovechkin at #2, the guy is just sooo technically perfect....only Fleury will be better than him among recent drafts IMO.

What do you mean still? He hasn't done anything bad to be dropped. Hell, if the league was starved for good goaltending, I'd take him over Ovechkin.

Being the case that it is (goalie market), Ovechkin's my man.

Id first be curious to see how guys like Malkin and Olesz do this year before I give Lehtonen a Rank. I would say he would go somewhere in the top 5 depending on who is drafting. Baker, Schremp, and Wolski are other guys to consider.

Would be a tough pick between him and Ovechkin, depends on the team I would pick for.

    So would I.

To be fair, I would also be curious to see those players if we were substituting Fleury instead of Lehtonen.

That said, the Pens needed a goalie prospect, and we got exactly what we needed.

Luckily, we might get one of the high picks in this years draft too.:D
