If I had to pick One it would be AJ, but I think Kappy is the better player

More valuable position to us right now, if Willy plays good than Kappy won't see anything other than 3rd line. AJ should already be a top 6 LW on the leafs.

Thats your opinion. Objectively Nylander is much more talented than Kappy or Johnsson - its not that close. You'll see

AJ here is a no brainer for Leafs. We just traded Grundstrom and can't afford to lose another excellent LW because we want to stack the RW. Kapanen is redundant.

It's not about having tools, it's about how and what your brain can process and that aspect is heavily disregarded by you.

If we rate them on that reagrd it will be Nylander > Johnsson > Kapanen.

Kap is faster and he creates havoc with his speed. And he is good on PP. But his offence is very limited. AnJo is more creative.

Losing Kap's gamebreaking speed worries me. That goal in game 7 vs Boston. That was a gamebreaking play as he has the feet and the hands (but we blew it after) and I worry about losing that option. Some have the hands but not feet. Some have the feet but not the hands. He has both.

I have never really considered this angle for some reason, but as a poster above mentioned, Hyman should probably go before either guy as well, assuming we are talking about cap issues rather than "hockey trades."
