Pretty sure he was probably typing quickly on a phone. Not that hard to understand though IMO...

'jobbed period'
'have gone unpunished'
'Kadri hate goggles'

Really, I had no idea. Do have trouble recognizing sarcasm ?

I know you were being sarcastic. My point is that it was shitty sarcasm cause it's not hard to decipher what he's saying and you're just giving a petty ass response

I'm not sure you understand sarcasm? You were clearly taking a shot at diceman either way
Well when a poster insinuates I'm a hater, I will respond with sarcasm every time. Hate is an awful word.

Kadri fine with place in Leafs lineup, ‘thrilled’ with addition of old friend Tavares

Interesting Read!

"I don’t care where I play, I don’t care what role I play. Obviously, I want to be an impact player and I want to continue to have the success I have been having, and I think players ahead of me will give me the chance to do that."

It’s not really a one-two-three type thing. We’re all going to play together and have that success. Our ultimate goal is to win a Stanley Cup and bring that to the city of Toronto, so we’re all going be on the same page.”

Above all else, Kadri is stoked that Tavares, an old pal and former London Knights teammate, is going to be wearing blue and white for the next seven seasons.

How much did that optimism take a jump when Tavares was signed?

“Big-time,” Kadri said. “I was thrilled. I was so happy to have a teammate like that. He is such a great guy and such a genuine person (and) good to have in the locker room. It’s nice to reconnect.

“I don’t think a player like him would have wanted to sign in Toronto eight, nine years ago,” Kadri said. “That’s the culture we have been trying to rebuild, is trying to acquire those free agents and try to make Toronto a destination where players want to come and win. Johnny realized something special we had here and I think he made the right choice.”

Kadri is better than some of those on the list.

19. Kadri - Honestly, he should probably be higher. Same P60 (5v5) as Tavares, only behind Stamkos, Malkin, Backstrom, Seguin, Crosby at PPP60. meh underlying stats, but faces the hardest comp/zone starts of anyone on this list.

How many points is Kadri going to get this season ?

Kadri with back to back 32 goal seasons. Pretty impressive.

I say 64 points. 30 goals. 34 assists.

Until I see the PP lines, I can't even make an educated guess. I've always been a proponent of putting your best 4 forwards and 1 defenseman on the powerplay, but we have a serious issue (non-issue though lol). Here's the Power Play Points (brackets) and the PPP/60 for the 6 guys that need to be on our first PP (over the last two seasons):

1. Marner - 7.49 (45)
2. Rielly - 7.39 (29)
3. Nylander - 6.59 (39)
4. Kadri - 6.33 (36)
5. Matthews - 6.29 (35)
6. Tavares - 5.41 (44)

Unfortunately I think Babcock is most likely going to be splitting up the units again, which means I could see the units being:

Marner - Tavares - Naz - Kapanen? - Rielly
Nylander - Matthews - Johnsson - Marleau - Gardiner

In that case I see Naz hitting 60 points again no problem. If he stacks the PP and leaves Naz off, I don't see it happening.

It makes sense in a way to structure it like that, as much as it does frustrates people who want a super stacked PP. Kadri and Marner showed great chemistry on the powerplay last season and Tavares takes up JVR's spot.

Guess we'll see.
I see him getting significantly more PK time and much less PP time.
I think it would be foolish to take him off the first unit. He's been one of the most productive PP goal scorers over the last 2 seasons in the league, on the 2nd best PP in the league over that time.

For sure, he's been great.
I just see him as Komarov's PK replacement with Tavares taking his PP center spot.

No idea, but opponents will struggle to defend. Leafs top three lines will give them fits when it comes to line matching. I think the Leafs scoring may be more balanced than we have ever seen in the past, whether NK is a beneficiary of this remains to be seen.

Even if he declines a bit on the PP, his even strength scoring may increase as he gets easier matchups asnother teams Try to send the top guys out against Matthews and Taveras

If Kadri ends up getting the same kind of minutes he'll get more than 32 goals this year.
I'll say 35 goals and 35 assists. 70 points! Yes I said it.
