Junior Girlfriends

I know a lot of players have girlfriends and for the most part the girlfriends are good about their man playing hockey but some aren't so keen on the sport.

What would you say are the major signs that your relationship is harming your game?

When you preplan a trip to Cuba while your team is playing in the Memorial Cup and board a flight immediately after your team's elimination.

And then repeatedly get suspended in the NHL.

Wow. Just curious as to who that was. I've had those kinda teamates before. As far as the girlfriend thing goes...Every girl I dated while I was playing was down with it. That's a question probably only you can really answer. Are you missing practice time? Is she a distraction immediately before or during games? Interfering with "team time" commaraderie type stuff?

Most of them are destined to be dumped and heart broken when their young bucks succumb to the temptations of youth, money and big city life once they are drafted and subsequently make it to their respective NHL clubs if it happens.

Beth and Scott McCrory dated since High School and are still married to this day.
Even moved the family to Europe when his playing career took him there.
