“Get the Duck Boats ready! Get the Duck Boats ready! After 39 long years, the Cup is back home. The Bruins are 2011 Stanley Cup champions!’’

Dave Goucher - WBZ-FM

A leatherlung fan, and they have a few in Boston, yelled, ‘we didn’t lose to the British, and we’re not gonna lose to British Columbia.’ Hansen gave it across with 15 to go. Despite that adversity, they followed their coach to the high road, and the high road is the road to the Cup. No icing. For the first time in 39 years, the Boston Bruins have won the Stanley Cup! And they pour on to celebrate with Tim Thomas, their heroic goaltender!

Mike Emrick - NBC

Never noticed that before but if you watch the "last 30 seconds" video above, all 5 Bruins skaters on the ice were left shots.

I luckily was able to watch it while “deployed”. I was in Kyrgyzstan and was able to watch every game that playoff. There was a Vancouver fan I worked with too.

Living in a city in Northern Canada, and i mean NORTHERN Canada... There are very few, maybe 3-4 Bruins fans that i even know (outside of my family). It felt like it was me against the world all post season, especially the Montreal/Vancouver series. That day my boss (who's a big Habs fan...) told me i could have the day off the next day if Boston won the cup.

I was so far beyond mangled that night. It was awesome... My house was a zoo. My whole family are just savage Bruins fans so it was a blast.
