He's being honoured at the Predators/Oilers game tomorrow night:
Congrats to a decent career. When you thought it was over he managed to squeeze out a few extra seasons which is probably a testament to how hard he worked to get the league and stay there.
Given some of the things Tootoo went through in his personal life, I hope he's a inspiration to others when you choose life above all else.
I tip my hat off to you Tootoo. I hope you enjoy your retirement and pray for your success in this new phase of life.
He had a pretty nice career for himself. Always had a soft spot for him.
He wasn't already?
Good for nothing announcement. Has he even laced up skates for a while? Well thanks for your input 22 and hopefully life treats you well. Goons aren't exactly my favourite types players but I heard Tootoo is a nice fella and has had some battles with his own demons... Here's hoping he'll overcome those and live happily ever after.
Is he a bad person or victim of circumstances? Asking for a friend
Very genuinely nice guy. Dealt with a lot growing up, was dealt a bit of a tough hand and had to scratch and claw to make it.
Brother killed himself and he's battled addiction. Hasn't had an easy life to say the least.
Good career for a grinder/fighter. I remember a few years back when he showed some brief offensive prowess for a very small period and played some games on Datsyuk's wing.
Congrats on an very successful career as a hockey player. His story is riddled with instances many would give up on, but he persevered. Enjoy official retirement, Jordin.
Had to fight through alot. Great career considering the circumstances. All the best 22.
Not a moment Tootoo soon.
I wish people got to see him with the Wheat Kings He was a ****ing savage.
He would unload the most brutal hits shift after shift.
Seems like a guy that does not like to tootoo his own horn.
great guy. had a good career. played hard every game.
Have to shake your head at the poor people who use a thread like this to disrespect another person. Only a bum would do that.
We should've kept him instead of Cleary.
Jordon Tootoo is the hockey equivalent of baseball player Andrew Jones
He’s a great dude. The guy goes out of his way to come to our town, hang out, play hockey with the kids and he gives back. That’s the important thing.
Lots of players come and go and you never hear from them again. Jordin isn’t that guy.
His story is unreal, too.
Amazing person! He has had many battles, but He has won his war. Best wishes and peace for your future.
He will be remembered for one of the very best uses of a jersey number.
The best number ever
