Benn was and still is a good bottom pairing d-man. + He can play both sides and seems to be a good teamate. I would had kept him for two more seasons.

decent bottom D man, who suprprisngly put up decent points.

If he is playing top 4 then ya its going to be trouble, he can't handle it.

If he would come back for a year I would take him, but let him cash in with another team.

Its a good time to move on for both parties.

So, be prepared to see Reilly or Oloffsson playing LD at his place next season.

I think we will see a rotating cast play on the bottom pair all year long.

I wouldn't even put it past Alzner to get a shot as our 6D at some point.

I liked Benn but not for 2/3 more years. Good guy, great beard, but its the right time for both parties to move on.
