But if the GOAL is to build through the draft, and we had no problem using Kotka as a 18 year old, why would there be a problem using Poehling? If the point is to NOT spend it on UFA 'cause there are never good things out of this place, which I don't agree, but let say it is...you STILL need the money in case a trade comes your way and that you could get a bad contract with a good player or just a regular trade that will see a guy with a top salary coming your way. You don't give 3M$ per to 4th liners just because you have money to spend. I really have on idea what you are talking about so might as well end here....this is the Weal thread.

I'll be the first to say you were right. Good job. You were very close on the AAV. I though it was a decent AAV but also thought he would wait it out to get something closer to $2M.
