What are some realistic expectations for his upside? I've been having a lot of discussions with my buddy lately about what kind of player he could become. Personally, I believe he still has some untapped offensive potential. If you you look at his progression throughout his career he's always trended upwards in the second year of every league he's been in. He did pot 40 in his last year of Junior. One things for sure not many people work as hard as he does. Really glad we have him. Is it reasonable to think he could have an underrated career along the lines of Jason Chimera. A few seasons of 20-20 hockey...

Chimera has/had wheels and physicality Martinook doesn't. His offense will always rely on his linemates. Defense will always come first. If he ever broke 40 points, I'd be impressed.

Looked good again tonight. Glad he was rewarded. I still think he has limited offensive potential, but he's already a valuable player.
