This is based on the Rangers not being able to get Panarin cause he is going to Florida. Otherwise, I'd love to throw money at him and hope he comes over.

Hubereau, Reimer, and Pysyk (Roughly 12M in cap) for Shattenkirk (50%), Jimmy Vesey, and Lias Andersson.

Rangers take on Reimer's cap hit, nearly a salary swap with Pysyk and Shattenkirk (there is your top 4 D who is better than Pysyk) and a young prospect. Florida gets an extra 6M in cap for next season. Vesey is a UFA the following year.

Rangers do get the best player in the deal, but they are giving the Panthers 3 players who will be on their roster next season, while eating cap space, and allowing them to sign Bob and Panarin.

Florida has a very formidable Top 6 despite being a non-playoff team.

They just need to build on that and hope to land a decent goaltender and defenseman in order to return to the playoffs. I don't think the risk is worth it here as Bob could very well be on the decline if they decide to sign him.

1 for 1 would be for a similar aged #2-3 RD with term, don't see anything else that makes sense.
