How is this even comparable? In his last season as a Bolt, he had the 3rd most points on the team. While Kucherov was still a phenomenal player that year, he's been even better the last 2 years. Drouin also only played with the bottom 6 players 5v5 that year and only played with Kucherov on the PP. So that Tampa team that year is A LOT more different than the current Tampa team.

Nylander may have had that contract dispute and missed all those games, but at least he didn't leave his AHL team like Drouin did when he was with Tampa and demanded a trade. Plus if he was not French Canadian there is no way Montreal gives up Sergachev for him.

Yeah he only threw a hissy fit over money and sat out half a season. Came back slumping hard and its embarassing with the overpayment and all. Drouin got nothing on Nylander.
