I think Drouin can give more. 60 points or more this season i predict. He can be a 70 points if he is more consistent, he got the talent but he need to work on his consistency.

He needs to work. Period. All 82 games.

And not only show up when he feels like it as it happened last year.

He'd also need to play the wing but there are no no. 1 Cs on the club.

Galchenyuk, for all of his flaws, was developped as a center.

Drouin was developped as a winger, so its clear that he should get MORE of a chance to magically become a NHL center.

priorities, priorities.

and has that "hate" stopped him from being a 1C ( his ineptitude takes good care of that). was he traded for an EN specialist ?

ooooh pooor jonathan drouin who, despite never being a center, gets to pretend to be one no matter HOW badly he plays and doesnt get shipped out to arizona but gets to be the teams highest plaid forward immediately signed to an extension.

Yeah, he's the victim in all of this. poor poor jonathan drouin. still not a center.

Well played!

No but seriously it’s almost impossible to defend this kid until he actually goes out there and proves us wrong.

If I had an ounce of faith in him I wouldn’t be so hard on the player but the way he gives up on plays and coasts around is embarassing. Some kovalevesque level of compete by the kid. And they say galchenyuk was lazy LOL incredible that people defend the season this kid had

jle, stun, ptit, etc., they're just shorter version of the normal words. It's basically how we talk but transcribed into words. We're cutting short on syllables kinda like y'all

jle = j'le = je le
stun = st'un = c'est un
ptit = p'tit = petit

so basically he said he's a small guy and he's looking him playing at center for political reasons

I’m with @The Gr8 Dane he hasn’t proved anything, the attitude, entitlement and pouting are front stage and centre, if Gally had been thrust into being the centre would he have performed like that? I highly doubt it he would have put everything into it. His whole attitude pisses me off big time and if I was his teammate when he slowly made his way to the bench after giving up a turnover (which he did a lot of)I would have punched him out

I find it funny.
The people who mock Bergevin for wanting guys with character are the same ones who criticises players for their attitude (Pacioretty, Price and Drouin notably).

Take up this crap with Bergevin first who praised all the attitude, leadership, and character his team had prior to the season only to throw everyone of them under the bus by saying how poor of an attitude his great character team had

I don't think you understand what people are saying.

What are they saying?

The way I see it is some people bash Pacioretty, Price and Drouin for not having a good attitude, but at the same time they also ridicules Bergevin for wanting players with good attitude... Its ironic.

And they have been bashing MB for a long time for wanting character players. It isnt just about last season.

He wants players with good attitude, yes. People mock MB since he tends to overemphasize that at times before skill.

However the mockery against Drouin is he is skilled but doesn’t have a good attitude either and this was somebody MB traded for. He’s always wanted good attitude but got somebody with a history of bad attitude.

Bergevin is mocked because he thinks character and bloodlines outweigh talent, not because they have a value at all.

who bashes price for a poor attitude ? FCS he should be getting danger pay playing behind that defense.

He's getting $10.5 million/season. I think the 'danger' pay is already accounted for.
Since when is signing a contract that was offered you a sign of bad attitude?
There are many reasons to not like the deal but this falls on the gm, not the player.

You think him not getting what he can is a knock on him or any player?

During the season, there was a lot of comments about Price not caring and being lazy
There were a lot of comments on how we should have kept halak as well.

In terms of lazy, price is not In The same zip code as patches of drouin. Being the only ( not last) line of defense can drain a guy.

Huh? When did I say anything about bat attitude?
All I said was he is making $10.5 million and that accounts for the 'danger' play i.e. the s*** defence that plays in front of him.

You are mixing a bunch of things together man.

1) They mock Bergevin because he overstates character. He puts it as the top priority. He might mention talent, but it'll be in passing, character/attitude is where it's at. Talent should be what we focus on, not attitude.
2) It would be fine if he stuck to his word, but he mentions character, then signs guys like Semin/Kassian, or trades for Drouin.
3) People bash Pacioretty, Price, Drouin and any other player when they suck and aren't performing. It has very little to do with attitude.
4) They had a No Excuse sign up when first starting with us, but when they started losing, they removed that sign.
5) Bergevin puts a ton of importance on attitude, yet he has no problem throwing his guys under the boss, blaming attitude/leadership when, again, the issue is clearly a lack of talent.
6) Mr. Attitude had a very smug attitude over the first 4 years here, throwing a fit at a journalist asking a simple question. Since he's missed the POs 2x in 3 years now, he's playing it a bit cooler, still he cuts live interviews short and continues giving terrible responses as if the public is completely clueless or stupid..."a better defensive group" he said...I mean, come on?

FYI, just because you make fun of a guy that's always talking about good attitude yet he's displaying non of it himself, doesn't mean you can't also point out when some players have terrible one too. There is nothing wrong with that.
