(Sometimes) we show up for a couple of periods or a couple of shifts and sometimes we don’t,” Drouin said. “And that’s on the players – not the coaches, not the trainers – it’s only the players that have to show up and start playing.

JD has the guts to say this???

After garnering two assists against the Coyotes last night, Drouin’s production and effort make Joel Armia look like a lazy boy recliner in comparison.

The laziest player ever said this... I can't stop laughing.

Drouin is showing some character and emotion. He's following the example of MarioTremblay and Patrick Roy. I know I sound ridiculous, lol.
Uh.....NO, but seriously the guy's been a target for so long good on him for retaliating worth every penny. Might not be the classiest thing to do but it definitely sends a message.

I really hope that wherever Drouin ends up next he absolutely kills it.

Drouin is our 2nd leading scorer, 1 point behind Suzuki, but has 0payed 7 less games than Suzuki.

If he takes over the scoring lead, I wonder if his trade value will be high enough such that there will be a team out there dumb enough to give up an asset for him...

He’s been our second best forward this year. I get that’s not saying much but he would have more points and production if those around him were better.

Never understood all the hate he gets, no Quebec born player should play in Mtl if they can avoid it.

I think the hate he receives is because his talent level exceeds his effort and production. Way more is expected than what he has delivered

Maybe, although the fan base has never embraced players that are the opposite, grind out a career with little talent.

Drouin has made quite a few highly skilled plays this year, and is producing at a higher PPG then Nick. Hasn't been a liability. Yet he gets shit on non stop. Boring IMO and says more about our fanbase then the player.

And there is a history of brutal treatment of Francophone players. The way fans treated Brisebois was ridiculous. And most couldn't wait to run Danault out of town, one of the best defensive forwards that's played here in decades.

There is some bizarre undercurrent that never made sense to me. I'm an Anglo but love seeing Quebec players wear the colours.

All of us had higher expectations for Drouin, he is so talented.
Last night was the first time I ever saw him fired up. His buddy MacKinnon gets passed every game. Drouin needs to play with that type of emotion.

Doesn't meet most of Hughes' criteria, and costs quite a bit. Bye bye!

Today's stats of Danault vs Suzuki
Danault : 10g 12a 22pts +13, career +57, salary 5,5M$
Suzuki : 7g 14a 21pts -16, career -36, salary 7,8M$

What was wrong with Danault? Who was driving that line? Surely not Tatar or Gallagher, with all the respect I have for Gally. Who was a winning face-off specialist? Who is still winning face-offs today with LA?

Is there is some of you who think he can change and go in the right direction or you opinion is made about him and won't change?

Suzuki's salary is like 875K this year............his 7.8M kicks in next year.
So wait a year before these comparisons....
Danault is behind Kopitar.........Suzuki is our #1 once again, hard to compare.

Suzuki is our #1 center, our team is dead last with 21 pts. Suzuki is minus 16.
Danault is behind a great player Habs were not smart enought to pick : Anze Kopitar, one if my favorite player. Danault is + 13. LA Kings have 45 pts and they might enjoy a PO ride next spring.
LA Kings have turned the corner, with aging Kopitar, aging Quick and aging Doughty. Young players like Iafallo and Kemp are doing good. Danault is having fun playing with them. LA Kings fans are happy. What else do you need to know?
